Youth Ablaze 2009 Report

UCCMA Summer Camp Youth Ablaze was, without a doubt, the best year ever!  With close to 400 in attendance, from more than 10 states it was a week of Holy Ghost revival among the young people. Dozens of young men and women gave their life to Christ, many more rededicated themselves to him, and over 100 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit! Everyone was touched in a powerful way.
Our theme this year was DEFY (Desire | Enter | Fight | Yield).  Nightly speakers were, as always, top notch and challenging!  Keith Nix, Larry Nix, Mike Shreve, Pat Hayes, & Freddie Stapleton ministered under a powerful anointing.  Day class teachers were phenomenal:  Keith Nix, Liz Shreve, Margie Nix, Melissa Gladwin, & Tom and Mandy Pierce led tremendous, Holy Spirit empowered classes for their age groups.  Even the 11 and 12 year old class (“Fire Starters”, which was a new class this year) had blazing times of prayer and seeking the Lord during and after their lessons!

Many thanks to President Don Warren and the Board of Directors of United Christian Ministerial Association for their support and assistance in helping make this branch of the ministry such a huge success!  International Youth Directors, Keith & Margie Nix on behalf of every Youth Ablaze student, thank all of the volunteers who came the entire week of Camp and gave selflessly of themselves:  to the group leaders – Camp just couldn’t be without you all;  to the kitchen crew and the wonderful kitchen manager, Ramona Nix – every student and adult gave rave reviews of how awesome the food was;  to the administrative team – Camp was the smoothest year EVER, thanks to you all;  to Camp Nurse, Teresa Blackmon – what a record year!  No one was sent to Urgent Care or ER;  to the media crew – great footage this year;  to the Ablaze Praise Team – the worship was awesome and the music was tight; and last but certainly not least, to the Extreme Discipleship Team (Robert Lobhoy, Zach Turner, Johnathan Stutzman, John Michael Blackmon, Christian Wise, Mark Alicea, Allan Berry, Michael Rhoden, Tiffany Hensley, Miranda Berry, Priscilla Stapleton, Destynie Simpson, Carla Hayes & Kayla Manasco (the students who trained and traveled with Keith & Margie Nix for 30 days during the Summer) – set up and break down of Camp and all that it entails would not be possible without you guys.  You really modeled what it means to be a “servant leader”.  And to everyone who worked and prayed hard to see this year’s Camp be the absolute best ever!
